Where the name came from
Every studio has an origin story. Ours starts at the beach.
Back when I was a kid, my dad would play wingman to my uncle and bring me along to the beach. Turns out, my hair was a magnet — women would stop, smile, and strike up conversations.
Pretty soon they had a nickname for me:
“Gold.”
The name stuck. Years later, when it came time to put a label on the games I was making, there was really only one choice.
